Hi! We are Orla and Armand, a couple living in Ballineen in Co. Cork. We chose the name Farraige for our business as it means Sea in Irish and we feel we have a strong connection to it through our work and life.
We have been pressing seaweed since February 2022. It all started as a hobby to make beautiful pieces of art. We now want to share this beauty with everyone else.
We carefully forage small amounts of seaweed from the beaches of West Cork. We love the whole process of pressing the seaweeds from start to finish.
The pressings are made into fine art archival giclee prints on sustainable acid free Hahnemuhle 290g paper. Our packaging is all compostable or recyclable. Follow us on instagram @farraigewestcork to see more.
